Humans are gone, what dominates the earth?
In 50 million years time when humans no longer exist, what will be the dominant species?, sharks are too lazy to evolve and they just seem to be getting smaller.. dolphins are pansys and they had their chance millions of years ago, but then again orca are of the dolphin family and seem to be on top in the areas they choose to roam. Will the blue whale grow a set of nuts and start eating stuff besides filtering sea-sperm and bits of a fish shit? Maybe those backbone-less ba_stids like jellyfish and squid will mass and… nah they don’t have what it takes.. i think… land creatures will be too tainted by humans and start glowing in the dark and crap like that, any human with the slightest bit of foresight can see thats true in some form. As much as i would like to think that given enough time it would phase back as nature intended, but we have a habit of phucking around with things we are too stupid to fully understand and before you know it, we drew a peniz on a monkeys face with a biological perm marker and now all his babies and future babies will be known as the sub species of monkeys with a fking peniz on their face. Opps going into another topic lol!, the only things that i know for a fact that eat sharks are orcas and other sharks and that isn’t enough to phase the species. Humans on the other hand, shark fin soup. Sharks will not have a easy ride getting back to the top of the food chain, if they even recover. Iv’e come to the conclusion the animals and mammals of the ocean are fucked, and that algae will eventually strive on the fact humans don’t em and become 90 tonne tentical things that eat each other untill the ocean is full of their poo, in which case the world would become poo brown. Make a time machine, u’ll see i’m right.
Humans will be gone because we refuse to adapt. The living creatures will be roaches and ants….they have been shown to live in caves and in ancient paintings when humans first showed up…that means they know how to adapt and do so as required ! BTW who says humans are the dominate species ?

Worms, Algae, plankton etc. etc. Just as they do at the moment if only we could see beyond our anthrocentric viewpoint.

I agree with Mark, roaches it will be!!! If you can live without your head you can pretty much conquer the world

It won’t be roaches. Without humans to feed them and provide shelter, roaches will have a massive die-off. You won’t find them beyond the subtropical.
Without humans, I think the dominant land predator would be the dog–mostly because they’re pack hunters, and there are so darn many of them spread over so much of the world. In the ocean, it’ll probably still be sharks. But really, what benefits most without humans is trees.

dogs would be toast!
my bet is on hippos and rhinos.

why would humans be gone in 50 million years but all the dumb animals are still alive. genuis

Sharks have been around forever, for much longer than us. they are even older than dolphins, thats how they are so much more primitive. Jellifish are some of the oldest living things that there are. Theyre I believe the most primitive form of life in the whole planet. They dont need large quantities of food or oxygen. Theyve have survived cooling and warming of the earth and other unfortunate events that wiped out whole species like dinosaurs many times and Im 100% sure they will outlive us by billions of years. Life started in the sea billions of years before it got to the land so if theres ever no life on land there may be still under water. Bugs will dominate the earth. Roaches everywhere. Crocodiles are very ancient too. Scientists discover the skull of a crocodile 4 times bigger than those of today that supposedly ate dinosaurs and they are still around and probably will be for a long time. Gorrillas and bears no longer will exist, they will be extinct. As soon as humans become extinct, trees are gonna grow back, with nobody cutting trees and even whole forests down, the world would start looking like before we came and theres gonna be more animals as humans have driven many species extinct.
